Rat Race

I wonder who coined the word “rat race”. It is defined as “is a term used for an endless, self-defeating or pointless pursuit. It conjures up the image of the futile efforts of a lab rat trying to escape whilst running around a maze or in a wheel” (wiki)

We all get jaded once in a while with the stuff we have to go thru just to get a paycheck at end of the month. Some get jaded everyday…sorry friends, I can’t help you there. What are we racing for anyway? Happiness? Wealth? Reputation? All of them? hahaha. Life is not that ideal. We win some, we lose some. Cut the drama and move on.

Is there a moral to this story? Nope. Then?

Well, I thought we all need to realise that we are in this together, might as well make it a fun one. I don’t think reaching the finishing line matter, it’s how we reach the finishing line that will set us apart. So let’s spread the love, remove negative thoughts, and enjoy the race. Life is too short to kill each other in this race.
