in the world that encourages wealth accumulation, we the people are driven to work harder and longer for that pot of gold – at the end of the rainbow presumably. be it a promotion, salary increment, bonuses, some of us wake up in the morning for that purposes

here is my personal believe. run your own race and you will be probably be ahead. i truly believe that people who are pulled by their own desire to succeed are ahead of the game compared to people who are pushed.

if we compare ourselves to our neighbors, most of the time we see them as having a ‘better’ life. if we compare our friends in another organization, we would have thought they have a better job. if we compare ourselves to other people who have what we don’t (i.e better car, better house, better spouse, better everything..), we would have thought “how lucky”.

do yo really think that they are that lucky? we actually don’t know their full story. we don’t know if they have hidden pains. we don’t know the sacrifices they have made.

i am an advocate of self pace. run our own race. decide how fast we want to go. decide how far we want to go. decide much we want to do. in the end, this is our lives and we should not let other people decide for us directly or indirectly.

i am not telling the full story if i stop there. the thing is, to run your own race, you need ‘fuel’. else, this will not work.

the ‘fuel’ is DESIRE. you need to have this before you start the journey. then, use your PURPOSE as a guide. i promise you, it will be a rewarding journey.
