routine

was watching an mtv show where young married couples share their lives on this documentary/reality tv show. the wife were saying that when they were in college, they share the same locker and the then bf gave her surprises sometimes by putting a soft toy one day, flowers, cookies etc. it was romantic according to her.

now that they are married and out of college, he is busy with his work and she is busy taking care of the house. money is tight and reality sets in. when he comes home, he wants to rest or go on the net. the sex has been less romantic too as it becomes a bit more routine

isn’t this most of our story? in any start of a relationship, everything is beautiful and nice. we are learning about each other and every new bit of information is taken is as “i am learning more about him/her!”. after the relationship has stabilized (some may takes years, some may take months), things get a bit routine. there is less new information to digest as you know most of the things about the other person. the only thing missing is what he/she ate this morning and how come he/she did not say anthing about going to a shop nearby.

haha, i guess that the challenge. its easy to start a relationship. its much harder to sustain it. anybody know the secret and willing to share? i am all ears
