choices

we all have choices in life. recently announced exam results got me thinking. in the newspapers, i saw many happy and sad faces. i would assume that the ‘happy’ ones got what they think as good result. on the opposite corner, the ‘sad’ people may not received that good of a result.

in my honest opinion, the exam results allow us to have a peek on our acheivements so far. its a small milestone in our long and productive life. it should be taken as one measurement. thats it.

i have seen smart people perform poorly at work. i have seen not-so intelligent people in leadership position and are doing very well at it.

when i was in school, i was not able to memorized much on facts churned by the teachers. the problem was i was tought to memorize not understand. i suck at remembering but excel in understanding. my learning gets better at university as they teach us to understand vs remember. i am glad for that.

so kids, dont sweat the exam results if its not so good. you have the rest of your life to live.
