Speed camera to reduce accidents?

It is a good idea to install speed cameras at highways …in theory. The logic seems to  make sense. Or is it really? The assumption here is that speed kills. I beg to differ. F1 cars travel at 300kmph, anybody died in the last 5 years? Nope.  There is no speed limit on Autobahn, how many people die? No significant difference with accident rates on normal highways (speed limited). We can talk about this until the cows come home but generally, I personally believe speed does not kill, it’s stupidity that does it.

If only there is camera for stupid people, that would be damn cool. Just point to public in general and the idiots will light up like a Christmas tree. Another cool feature will be IQ measurement (Not Intelligence Quotient but Idiotic Quotient). Press a button and an estimate of the idiot’s measurement will pop up. LOL.

Going back to the camera – speed camera that is. I personally believe it is a waste of public money. It’s not about the hardware only. They need to figure out a process to stick the summons to drivers. Lawyer friends advice is not to pay these ‘ekor’ summons. There is a loophole..hehehe. BTW, what happened to ITIS (integrated Transport Information System) that cost few millions to implement?

Mooooooo….oh, the cows came home already. Better stop now. 🙂
